Evaluation of Immunologic Response following COVID-19 Vaccination in Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults with Cancer

This study evaluates immunologic response following COVID-19 vaccination in children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer. Vaccines work by stimulating the bodys immune cells to respond against a specific disease. The immune response produces protection from that disease. Effects from cancer and from treatments for cancer can reduce the bodys natural disease fighting ability (called immunity). Factors such as vaccine type, timing of vaccine dosing related to treatment for cancer and number of vaccine doses or boosts (extra vaccine shots) may strengthen or diminish the bodys protective immune response. This study may help researchers learn more about how the bodys immune system responds to the COVID-19 vaccine when the vaccination is given during or after cancer treatment.

Fluid Measurements and MRI in Determining Biomarkers of Lymphatic Dysfunction in Patients with Breast Cancer

This trial uses fluid measurements of the arm and MRI to determine biomarkers of lymphatic dysfunction in patients with breast cancer. Studying the lymphatic system (the part of your body that helps to process and clear waste products) in different ways will help doctors understand more about lymphedema (excess fluid after lymph nodes are removed) and help with prevention and management of lymphedema in patients with breast cancer.

A Study to Compare Two Surgical Procedures in Individuals with BRCA1 Mutations to Assess Reduced Risk of Ovarian Cancer

This clinical trial studies how well two surgical procedures (bilateral salpingectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy) work in reducing the risk of ovarian cancer for individuals with BRCA1 mutations. Bilateral salpingectomy involves the surgical removal of fallopian tubes, and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy involves the surgical removal of both the fallopian tubes and ovaries. This study may help doctors determine if the two surgical procedures are nearly the same for ovarian cancer risk reduction for women with BRCA1 mutations.

Targeted Therapy Directed by Genetic Testing in Treating Pediatric Patients with Relapsed or Refractory Advanced Solid Tumors, Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas, or Histiocytic Disorders (The Pediatric MATCH Screening Trial)

This Pediatric MATCH screening and multi-sub-study phase II trial studies how well treatment that is directed by genetic testing works in pediatric patients with solid tumors, non-Hodgkin lymphomas, or histiocytic disorders that have progressed following at least one line of standard systemic therapy and/or for which no standard treatment exists that has been shown to prolong survival. Genetic tests look at the unique genetic material (genes) of patients' tumor cells. Patients with genetic changes or abnormalities (mutations) may benefit more from treatment which targets their tumor's particular genetic mutation, and may help doctors plan better treatment for patients with solid tumors or non-Hodgkin lymphomas.

This randomized phase III trial studies digital tomosynthesis mammography and digital mammography in screening patients for breast cancer. Screening for breast cancer with tomosynthesis mammography may be superior to digital mammography for breast cancer screening and may help reduce the need for additional imaging or treatment.
