VICC Annual Scientific Retreat
Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center sponsors an annual scientific retreat that facilitates collaborative interactions and discussions among our diverse research community of senior investigators, junior faculty, students and trainees.
Each year's event focuses on a scientific theme selected by our research program leaders. The retreat includes external speakers, internal investigators, a poster session with over 120 posters highlighting research initiatives, and an awards ceremony announcing our "Student of the Year" and "Postdoctoral Fellow of the Year." Each year, a cancer survivor shares their journey and how research has affected their life.
The annual event brings together a broad spectrum of faculty, staff and students from Vanderbilt, Meharry Medical College, and Tennessee State University, as well as members of the VICC patient advocacy program and representatives from our local advocacy groups and community partners (e.g., Komen Foundation, Gilda’s Club, American Cancer Society).
