Profile

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Vanderbilt University (since 2024). Previously, I worked as a postdoc and non-tenure-track assistant professor at the Center for Chromosome Stability, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Over the past eight years, I studied various aspects of replication stress, an emerging hallmark of cancer, while especially focusing on transcription-replication conflicts and its effect on DNA replication. At the University of Copenhagen, I contributed to departmental teaching and outreach programs including teaching molecular/cell biology to Biomedical Sciences students.Currently my research focus is to investigate transcription replication conflicts and how cells deal with this issue and its consequences.
