Profile
I have joined the faculty in the Division of Cardiology as an Instructor in Medicine where my clinical responsibilities are focused on the field of Cardio-Oncology. The clinical training drives my passion for research, informs my research questions, and guides my overall basic/translational research approach. This bedside-to-bench and back approach serves as a platform for my ongoing and future scientific endeavors, starting with observations of human disease from clinical genetics and clinical trials, studying these observations in basic cellular and animal models, and finally returning to human studies to assess the relevance and therapeutic potential of the discoveries. As a physician-scientist with clinical and research expertise in the fields of Cardio-Oncology and cardiac arrhythmogenesis, I intend to use my experience and skill to remain at the basic/translational interface to make the greatest impact for my scientific discovery and, ultimately, patient care.
